America is in bad shape due to the current coronavirus pandemic. For some reason the country wasn’t prepared even though the first recorded case in America was January 20th, just 10 days after the first case was recorded in China.

Vince McMahon represented WWE in a call with Donald Trump today. Practically every other major sporting league was represented too. During the meeting, Trump said that he believes the NFL will start on time in September. That’s an optimistic goal, but WWE might have to sacrifice another huge event according to the WWE Hall Of Famer president.

The social distancing guidelines are likely to continue and it will be a long time before anything can go back to anything that resembles being “normal.”

The idea that sports can return around August or September is not good news for SummerSlam. It is also terrible news for AEW’s Double Or Nothing event on May 23rd.

They could always lift restrictions on large gatherings early, but that would mean results need to be seen first. Those results don’t seem to be coming as coronavirus cases are escalating even more, but there are still multitudes of Americans who can’t get tested.

It was believed that Rob Gronkowski might wrestle at the Boston SummerSlam event. Let’s see what WWE decides to do in the meantime.
