WWE NXT has several Superstars that have only started their careers in WWE. For Angel Garza, the best is probably yet to come.

The former NXT Cruiserweight Champion appeared on Raw this week, but he won’t be around for long. The way that his name was pronounced gave some fans cause to question.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that Garza wanted the “Angel” in his name to be pronounced like a heavenly being to oppose his devilish actions. This is different from the traditional pronunciation of his name which Zelina Vega used on Raw.

Regarding the name Angel Garza vs. An-hel Garza, the idea, and this was Garza’s, even though he was the one originally pronouncing his name An-hel, is that his character is an angel who acts like the devil and wants to merchandise it that way, hence the Americanized pronunciation

Angel Garza might only be around until Andrade comes back from his 30 day suspension for Wellness Policy Violation. He can still make the most of this opportunity and possibly carve out a long-term home on Raw, because Vince McMahon has changed his plans in the past.
