AEW Dynamite aired a live show on January 1st, but WWE NXT did not. The Wednesday Night Wars still carried over into 2020.

Showbuzz Daily reports that AEW Dynamite drew 967,000 viewers this week. WWE NXT brought in 548,000 with their episode on the USA Network.

AEW Dynamite wasn’t on the air last week. TNT aired their yearly “A Christmas Story” marathon. NXT drew a 831,000 viewers on Christmas Day with a pre-taped episode.

This week NXT also brought a pre-taped show to the USA Network as they presented their Year End Awards. AEW Dynamite aired a live show from Daily’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida.

The last week the two shows went head-to-head on December 18th, NXT pulled 795,000 viewers against AWE Dynamite who closed out 2019 with a viewership of 683,000
