WWE NXT Positioning Superstar As Heel At House Shows

WWE NXT has a lot of exciting stories going on. In the last week fans were immersed by the tale of Angel Garza.

The new NXT Cruiserweight Champion defeated Lio Rush in a nail-biting match last week. Then he proposed to his girlfriend in front of the entire WWE Universe. The NXT coaches didn’t even know that was going on. This included his mother who flew in to surprise him just to watch her son wrestle.

Dave Meltzer reported on Wrestling Observer Radio that despite all those babyface characteristics Angel Garza worked as a heel in San Jose.

“So I was at the NXT show tonight [in San Jose] and Angel Garza so he was a heel tonight.

Angel Garza can work as both a babyface and a heel. It is interesting that after such an inspirational moment on national television that he would still work as a heel. This isn’t unlike WWE logic. Seth Rollins worked as babyface this weekend as well.
