This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite was a special one for Tony Khan as he returned to his alma mater. Khan graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in finance. How many fans showed up to watch their famous alumni’s wrestling show?

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that AEW drew 4,100 fans in Champaign, Illinois for Dynamite this week.

11,500 fans showed up for the Dynamite debut in Washington DC. The next week in Boston they had 6,000 fans followed by 9,000 in Philadelphia. The attendance has fluctuated between 6,000 and 3,600 since then. So far Charlotte, North Carolina was their lowest number.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
