WWE locks down the names of their Superstars. Any name that they want to market needs to be owned by the company to a large extent. It appears that Charlotte Flair and Andrade might be doing a little trademarking on their own.

PW Insider reports that both Charlotte Flair and Andrade have filed their own trademarks on different names. Flair applied for “Ashley Flair” and “The Queen Of Wrestling.”

Meanwhile, Andrade applied for a trademark on “La Sombra” and “El Idolo.” That is the name he used on the indies before coming to WWE along with his current nickname.

Both Flair and Andrade registered those trademarks for merchandising reasons. They also applied for them to be used in pro wrestling exhibitions.
