WWE and Saudi Arabia have a ten year agreement to bring sports entertainment to the controversial country. It will be interesting to see who they can convince to come back next time.

Superstars were forced to wait in Saudi Arabia for an extra 24 hours after they were supposed to leave. This caused them to miss SmackDown and others missed being at home with their families for Halloween.

Bodyslam.net reports that this situation included Prince Muhammad bin Salman no-showing meeting with Vince McMahon. They were supposed to discuss the money that Saudi Arabia owes WWE, but that didn’t happen. Vince McMahon was reportedly “pissed” because of this.

Vince McMahon and other members of WWE’s staff were scheduled to have a private meeting with the Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman and others to discuss their Middle East TV deal […] Crown Prince Muhammad bin Salman was said to have no-showed the meeting. This was said to have really “pissed” Vince McMahon off, and subsequently set things in motion.

Thankfully, everyone made it back to the United States safely. This is a situation that could have probably been avoided, but it is definitely more complicated than a simple mechanical issue.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
