NXT Superstars Needed Police Escort To Building For SmackDown After Late Arrival

NXT Superstars invaded SmackDown last night, but they almost missed the show entirely.

John Pollock of Post Wrestling reports that the NXT Superstars actually arrived in Buffalo five minutes before SmackDown started. They were rushed to the arena and actually had a police escort to get them there.

Was told the NXT charter didn’t land until 7:55 pm and they had a police escort to get them to the building.

One person I spoke with added they could not have cut it any closer to get everyone in place for the third segment when Shayna Baszler made her appearance.

Last night’s SmackDown was a very eventful night, especially for NXT. Triple H later extended an offer for Raw and SmackDown Superstars to stop in on NXT’s Wednesday night show as well. We can only assume that WWE Superstars appearing on NXT won’t have to make such last-minute travel plans.
