Sami Callihan Rejects Tommaso Ciampa’s Praise After Winning IMPACT World Championship

There are so many guys and girls within the ranks of WWE that first made a name for themselves out on the independent scene, and now, they’re out there living it up on the main roster or in NXT.

One such example is Tommaso Ciampa, who many consider to be one of the best stars to ever roll through NXT. He’s currently chasing after the NXT Championship once again, but he took time out of his pursuit in order to praise and celebrate his long-time friend Sami Callihan.

Callihan, formerly with NXT, won the IMPACT World Championship last night in arguably the biggest moment of his career to date. Unfortunately for Blackheart, Callihan wasn’t prepared to break character in order to thank his friend.

Sami was finally able to ascend to the top of IMPACT after years of trying, dethroning Brian Cage in a Steel Cage match after a nasty piledriver off of the top rope.

His next big challenge looks set to be Tessa Blanchard, who is looking to become the first ever female to capture the IMPACT World Championship. Somewhere down the road, though, it seems as if there’s still a bit of unfinished business between Callihan and Ciampa that needs to be resolved.

It can’t happen any time soon given the fact that they’re in two different companies, but it’d be great to imagine a scenario in which they can come together and square off – because let’s face it, that’s the kind of match we’d all tune in to see.
