Hangman Page was unable to defeat Chris Jericho at All Out. Since then it seems that he has yet to really find his footing in AEW.

Dave Meltzer discussed the latest episode of Being The Elite during Wrestling Observer Radio and he made a very good point. It seems that All Elite Wrestling could be positioning Page for a heel turn down the line.

“They did a very subtle stage one where I got the impression — whether they do this or not, I don’t know, but they are teasing the idea of a Page turn.”

“Cody asked him essentially if he was thinking about turning, he didn’t use the word ‘turning’ but he basically said that. Cody goes, ‘I did that and it wasn’t a good idea.’ The Elite needs to stick together and they made a thing about how Cody has his own dressing room and the Young Bucks and Kenny has their own dressing room, but Cody goes, ‘You’re one of us, you can dress in my room. If you want to,’ and [Page] goes ‘I’m good.'”

Hangman Page also threw out a line saying that he hopes Cody Rhodes does better against Chris Jericho than he did. Of course, Page lost to Jericho at All Out and Rhodes has yet to face Y2J in AEW.

This could be a very interesting angle for Hangman Page. It might not happen for a while, but a slow build could be starting to Adam Page’s heel turn.
