WWE Backstage is a different kind of studio news show unlike anything fans have seen before. FOX is doing their own thing and WWE apparently doesn’t have much say in what happens either.

We got a glimpse of what is to come when WWE Backstage debuts on November 5th with a preview episode. It included some rather interesting creative decisions and pulled back the curtain a bit.

Fightful Select reports that unlike UFC Tonight, FOX is not running names past WWE who will be on the show as they did with UFC. This could be very interesting especially if they bring someone in who has a lot on their mind.

It is also reported that WWE “doesn’t have much input” on the show at all. This show might offer an insider glimpse into the business, but it was actually slated to include even more “insider terminology” than it current does.

All in all, FOX is very happy with how their relationship with WWE has panned out so far.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
