WWE Raw featured an opening match with a returning Drew McIntyre. He took on Ricochet and kicked out of everything The One And Only threw at him. Then McIntyre won the match to clinch a successful return to the ring.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer explained that WWE has big plans for both McIntyre and Ricochet, but it was time for Drew to get the win this time around.

“I know that their plans for both guys is to be strong right now and I think that they’re probably trying to get McIntyre over for a top spot right now.”

Ricochet and Drew McIntyre will meet again in Saudi Arabia as they both represent pro wrestling legends at Crown Jewel. Both Superstars seem to be in positions where they are at the cusp of being pushed in a big way. It appears that McIntyre needed to win last night which makes sense because he was the one returning.
