Tyson Fury is set to face Braun Strowman in Saudi Arabia on October 31st. This is going to be a big match at Crown Jewel, but Fury’s career in WWE could have started even sooner.

We previously reported that Tyson Fury wanted to work with WWE years ago, but they couldn’t make things work. This time worked out much better and now Fury is facing The Monster Among Men at WWE Crown Jewel.

While speaking to Not Sam Wrestling, Tyson Fury confirmed that he wanted to do WWE years ago. but his boxing career got in the way.

“I’ve been looking to get into WWE for a number of years but with my boxing commitments, I have not had the opportunity or time to do so with my commitments. The opportunity arose recently so I took it with open arms. Not only for me, to be able to fight at such a stage, but also for my kids because they are huge WWE fans and massive Braun Strowman fans. Scoring brownie points for the kids forever.”

Fury has yet to lose a fight in the boxing ring. We’ll have to see how WWE Crown Jewel shapes up. He has been training at the WWE Performance Center and is taking this match seriously.

His boxing promoter might not be too happy about this though, but Fury will have plenty of time before his next fight in February 2020.
