All Elite Wrestling promised to have a new kind of women’s division and it was a focal point of Brandi Rhodes’ own speech at the AEW launch rally in Jacksonville.

Brandi Rhodes told TV Insider that AEW Dynamite will be loaded with familiar faces for the first few weeks. Then they will start to integrate in other stars in the women’s division. Of course, you can never count out having a few surprises along the way.

She went on to say that All Elite Wrestling has signed some female wrestlers that haven’t made their debuts yet. She said AEW has “about 16” female stars under contract, but we might not have seen them all yet.

“You’re going to see in the first few weeks of TV a heavy focus on the familiar names. There will probably be some you haven’t seen before, but they were actually signed for some period of time. So, it’s going to be new to you, but we’ve been planning to use them for a long time.”

Rhodes went on to say that she was impressed with who she saw in the Casino Battle Royale at All Out. So, we might be seeing some of those girls again.

“I was really excited for and impressed with a lot of the girls. I think the fans were too. Just wait and see. You will probably see some of those involved in there again.”

All Elite Wrestling will debut on October 2nd and we will be eagerly awaiting to see who will be the first AEW Women’s Champion. It will be either Nyla Rose or Riho who start a new kind of women’s division that fans were promised in this pro wrestling alternative.
