WWE really pulled off an unexpected moment when Luke Harper made his return at Clash Of Champions. It was to help out his old buddy Erick Rowan in his match against Roman Reigns. All in all, the angle was very effective.

Dave Meltzer said during Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE called Harper to be at Clash Of Champions on Friday. So, they knew what they were going to do, but it’s unclear exactly how long WWE had those plans.

“I know that he got the call and that came up on Friday, so it was not last-minute, but it was late in the game.”

Luke Harper’s big surprise at Clash Of Champions is something we won’t soon forget. They really did pull off a big moments, now they need to follow it up with a proper storyline.
