WWE Looking To ‘Make News’ In First Week Against The NFL

WWE always wants to keep their fans guessing and this coming Monday might give us a lot to talk about, because the company could be planning something very special.

We previously reported that AJ Styles will face Cedric Alexander next week on RAW. Dave Meltzer reports that his feeling is that WWE wants to do more than just have a great match between those two.

Raw is expected to be loaded this week as far as an attempt to put on a good standalone show since it’s the first week against the NFL, not to mention it being in Madison Square Garden.

My strong feeling is Styles vs. Alexander is there to be a great match of course, but for more than just that.  There is very much going to be an attempt to make news on this show for all those reasons, but the competition aspect and it’s PPV go-home.

It is also said that the idea is that Steve Austin’s appearance in MSG will help bring back some of the “lapsed fan” who has fallen away from WWE.

The RAW Reunion really didn’t deliver on the action in some ways so involving Austin in a segment with Seth Rollins and Braun Strowman could give more opportunities for some fun.

We will just have to wait and see what they decide to do. Thanks for reading all about it right here at Ringside News.
