Tony Schiavone is now with AEW and it looks like he’ll be a part of the commentary booth for the next few years at least.

The company confirmed today that Tony Schiavone has signed a full-time multi-year contract with All Elite Wrestling.

As part of the official announcement, it was noted that Schiavone will join Jim Ross and Excalibur on commentary. It is interesting that there was no mention of Alex Marvez.

Schiavone, widely considered to be one of the most important voices in professional wrestling, joins AEW’s television broadcast team of Jim Ross and Excalibur. Schiavone will also serve as a senior producer for AEW events.

In addition to working with AEW, Schiavone will continue working with the University Of Georgia’s football and baseball network. He will also continue as a play-by-play announcer for the Atlanta Braves’ Triple A team, the Gwinnett Stripers.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
