WWE looks to be moving NXT to the USA Network. We will probably know tomorrow during Raw, but WWE could very well have three shows on television every week.

Dave Meltzer discussed this change during Wrestling Observer Radio. Because there is a way of looking at this situation in terms of WWE over-saturating the market with their own content.

“Another thing is how is this gonna change — because if you have two hours on Wednesday and you have three hours on Monday and two hours on Friday, I would suspect strongly that unless somehow this Friday thing leads to a boom period and I don’t think that’s the case, I think all the shows will be hurt a little bit just because of the sheer hours.”

If WWE is struggling with the ratings for two weekly shows on cable then how would adding another show to the mix really change things? Only time will tell if moving SmackDown Live to Fox will bring a huge boom period, but it seems this power play to bring NXT to the USA Network just to start another pro wrestling war might not be what this situation needs right now.
