The Kabuki Warriors had another chance to capture the Women’s Tag Team Championships last night, but in the end, they were unable to dethrone the surging team of Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross who retained their belts.

While many fans believe that they deserve better, there are so few legitimate teams in this ‘division’ that it still feels like just a matter of time until Asuka & Kairi Sane will get their chance to hold the gold.

One person who wasn’t present for their defeat was their friend and, in some ways manager, Paige. The former Divas Champion gave her brief thoughts on the loss over social media.

It certainly seems like Paige is going to be staying off of WWE television for a while, if only to fix any lingering issues that still exist with her neck. Either way, though, fans are hopeful that she’ll get the chance to be positioned in a featured role of note some time soon.

As for The Kabuki Warriors, there are still some question marks over their long term feasibility as a tag team. They’re obviously incredibly talented, but the question is whether or not they’re better off as singles stars.

A lot of fans have joked that it’d be a big waste for Sane not to be a singles wrestler by the time WrestleMania 36 rolls around, if only because of the ‘pirate’ theme that comes with the event being held in the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ stadium.

Either way, we just hope they get what they truly deserve.
