Goldberg is coming back at WWE’s Summerslam event for a match against Dolph Ziggler. Although some might be pulling for an upset, it looks like we can all expect Goldberg to redeem himself from his Super ShowDown loss in Saudi Arabia.

Tom Colohue reports that WWE made a decision to choose Goldberg for a number of reasons. One thing is that his experience as a veteran really helps, but everyone “loves” Ziggler as well. Because he’s able to excel in any situation he’s given.

“For his experience. Everyone looks good wrestling with Dolph. WWE loves Dolph. There’s nothing he can’t do.”

The source also indicated that Goldberg’s opponent is better off being a smaller one and Dolph fits that bill perfectly. After all, we all remember how it went at WWE Super ShowDown when Goldberg tried to Jackhammer The Undertaker and he almost dropped The Dead Man straight on his head.

“You remember the Jackhammer? I do. We all do. Dolph’s safe and he doesn’t weigh too much, really.”

We also previously reported via Brad Shepard that WWE decided on Ziggler as Goldberg’s opponent because The Show Off will be able to make him look good.

Summerslam will be a very long adventure for any member of the WWE Universe, but if this match is a typical Goldberg match then it might not go long at all. We can only imagine that WWE will be able to allow Goldberg a big moment in Toronto as well to make up for the very bad one he had in Saudi Arabia.
