Roxanne Perez Vows Not to Retire Until She Has A Match Against AJ Lee

Roxanne Perez has undeniably emerged as the standout star of the NXT Women’s division and is even the NXT Women’s Champion now. She has many idols, and that includes AJ Lee. In fact, Perez has vowed not to retire until she has a match against AJ Lee.

In case you are not aware, AJ Lee’s success story in WWE is truly remarkable, credited for playing a pivotal role in kickstarting WWE’s Women’s Revolution. She left pro wrestling back in 2015, immediately after WrestleMania 31.

That didn’t stop Lee from sparking in-ring return rumors after she posted recent photo with her old ring gear. However, AJ Lee then made it clear that she is still retired and this saddened fans.

While speaking on Ring The Belle, Roxanne Perez was asked about AJ Lee returning to WWE. Roxanne Perez vowed not to retire until she has a match against AJ Lee.

“It’s going, we’re trying. Hopefully, one day, she’ll come back and maybe we can all do something together. That would be, that would be like my dream. I can’t retire until I have a match against AJ Lee. So you know, I can’t be 80 years old wrestling either, so.”

It remains to be seen if by some miracle AJ Lee does return to WWE television somehow, even if CM Punk himself doubts it will happen.
