Roman Reigns is a locker room leader in WWE, but so was John Cena and he left for Hollywood. Hobbs & Shaw will feature Roman Reigns in what appears to be a key role in the film, but it doesn’t mean Roman will be leaving WWE for the acting world.

As Roman Reigns spoke to Complex, he admitted that he’s been bitten by the “acting bug.” Therefore, it wouldn’t surprise us at all to start seeing him pop up in any role he can, but he won’t be leaving wrestling any time soon.

“I’ll say I’ve been bitten by the acting bug. But I think with what just happened to me this past year with my health and being pulled away from the ring, I’m always going to have that love. That process that I just explained about being live and as raw as possible. If something happens, you can shake and bake and make it what you need it to be. There’s something about having that ad-lib and free range that when it comes down to it, it’s live. Ain’t nobody stopping you now.”

“I’m still in love with that aspect of the business and with that aspect of performing. But I would say, there’s a future for sure. You don’t fall down, you can do two takes, and that is definitely something to work with.”

Acting in movie is very different from performing in the ring, but nothing can compare to the electricity of a live performance atmosphere, especially for The Big Dog. He filmed Hobbs & Shaw during his WWE hiatus while battling leukemia, but during that time he obviously realized how much working for WWE means to him.

Therefore, it’s very likely that Reigns will continue to be a locker room leader for years to come.
