WWE’s new deal with Fox could open a lot of doors for them. One thing it certainly provides are more opportunities to expand their brand. FS1 lost UFC programming when ESPN picked up the Ultimate Fighting Championship, therefore, Fox might be looking to add NXT to their FS1 line-up.

This move to FS1 could also be beneficial for WWE as well because it would get NXT on a much larger network. The fact the it might also be on at the same time as AEW’s television on TNT could just be a bonus.

George Barrios said something interesting on the investors call about NXT’s possible move to FS1. Although he didn’t comment on the rumor directly, he did confirm that WWE is always talking about creating new content and where it might fit best.

This is apparently a “constant internal discussion” that WWE is having in regards to where their content might be best utilized and consumed. We will just have to wait and see whether NXT lands on FS1 in the process of that discussion.
