Kevin Owens ended SmackDown Live this week by hitting Dolph Ziggler with a Stunner and yelling that this is his show. It appeared to be a big babyface turn for the former WWE Universal Champion which was long overdue.

We previously reported how Kevin Owens said that he wants to prove that he can be a babyface and he is ready. Now it looks like he’s going to get that opportunity.

Dave Meltzer discussed Kevin Owens’ babyface turn during Wrestling Observer Radio. This now resets KO to where WWE wanted him in the first place on his way out of WrestleMania. However, things didn’t work out at the time. Now after remaining a heel for three months longer than initially planned, Owens will finally get a chance to play a good guy.

“It’s very clear that this is a babyface turn for Owens who just turned heel a couple of months ago. I hate turns back and forth, but originally he was supposed to be a babyface. The heel turn was just a last-ditch effort because Daniel Bryan got hurt and now he’s getting back to where they wanted him originally.”

We will have to wait and see where Kevin Owens’ new direction in WWE might take him. He wanted to be a babyface and prove to himself that he could make it happen for himself in WWE as a good guy. This is the perfect opportunity to do just that now.
