Backstage Impression Of Eric Bischoff’s WWE Return So Far

Eric Bischoff is the new Executive Director of SmackDown Live and this appointment came as a huge surprise to fans, but they were not alone in this feeling.

Brad Shepard reported on Oh, You Didn’t Know that people were happy for Bischoff backstage in WWE. There overall feeling is that it’s a “wait and see” kind of attitude depending on how much influence Vince McMahon actually allowed Bischoff to have.

“Internally everyone was shocked at the Bischoff signing. They’re happy for him, but believe the key will be as I’ve talked about how much Vince is going to lean back and allow Eric and of course, Paul on Raw as well to control the show. Eric has already been described to me as a sponge and inventive.”

Things could get very interesting very soon, but Bischoff’s position isn’t slated to begin until after July 14th’s Extreme Rules event.

It is a good report that Bischoff is a “sponge” because he needs to soak up every bit of information he can after being gone for so long and not keeping up with the product. Let’s just see what kind of inventive ideas he has.
