Brock Lesnar historically likes to sign short-term contracts with WWE. He does this so he can negotiate in shorter periods of time to up his price.

This strategy for Lesnar has worked out pretty well so far and he’s signed some amazing contracts. His current deal will ensure that he is around until at least 2020.

The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that Lesnar will be under WWE contract until May or June 2020. Dana White recently stated that Brock Lesnar is retired from MMA, however that could be matter of not agreeing on a price.

That does not rule out the possibility that AEW could be a viable option next year depending on how things pan out. If anything, he could use AEW’s success to get a ton of cash from Vince McMahon.

If AEW ratings are stronger than expected, his leverage is astronomical. If they are weaker than expected, and their drawing has fallen, his leverage would be lessened greatly

Only time will tell where Brock Lesnar goes or what he does. Because he can do whatever he wants. It was also noted that Paul Heyman’s new position as Executive Director of Raw could make it easier for Lesnar to stick around.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
