Matt Riddle made a couple of appearances during the recent NXT television tapings, but he was destroyed by returning Killian Dain each time. This is what occupied his time and is how The Original Bro is likely to be featured for the next couple of months.

Strangely enough, this relative squash comes just a week after Riddle buried Goldberg online, but Dave Meltzer explained on Wrestling Observer Radio why Riddle isn’t getting his planned NXT Title match in Toronto.

“What I was told is that Matt Riddle is gonna be in there for a long time and they don’t wanna rush him into anything and they don’t need to rush him into anything so that’s the deal, but at one point it was gonna be Cole and Riddle.”

“Riddle isn’t even gonna be on the TakeOver show even though he got the big win on the last one which was suppose to set [a title match] up.”

This is very interesting because nobody really knows how long someone will be in NXT. Because Vince McMahon could take one look at Matt Riddle and decide he needs him for something next week.

We will have to wait and see what’s next for Matt Riddle, but that’s apparently the reason why he’s not on the next TakeOver card.
