Vince McMahon created the Wild Card Rule on the morning that he ended up revealing it to everyone live on Monday Night Raw. However, it hasn’t been received all too well.

It seems like this rule has just guaranteed that Roman Reigns will be on both main roster shows. This week was an exception because WWE didn’t cancel their blue brand house show in Reno, but on most weeks that has been the case.

Ringside News decided that we wanted to take this question to the people so we put out a few polls on the matter through our social media accounts on various platforms. The question was very simple: “Should WWE drop the Wild Card Rule For Raw and SmackDown Live?” The response we received gave no room for misinterpreting the numbers.

88% of fans voted for WWE to nix the Wild Card Rule out of the 1,647 fans who voted on Twitter. 81% of the over 2,000 fans who voted so far on Instagram agreed that WWE should do away with it as well.

When it comes to Facebook, 77% of fans voted that WWE needs to do away with it out of the 1,500 fans who voted in the 10 hours since the poll was posted.

These are pretty dramatic numbers and obviously indicates that whatever Vince McMahon was trying to do with the Wild Card Rule just isn’t working out. Maybe they might need to keep trying because at this rate it seems like another swing and a miss.
