WWE’s Original Plan For Women Wrestling In Saudi Arabia

WWE is bringing their roster back to Saudi Arabia, but they have a couple of Superstars who are making the trip that most weren’t expecting.

Natalya and Alexa Bliss are both on the trip to KSA with the WWE roster. Renee Young is along for the trip as well, but she was expected to be part of the commentary team anyway since she traveled with WWE to KSA for the Crown Jewel event.

WrestleVotes reports that WWE had planned months ago for a women’s match in Saudi Arabia. It was supposed to be Nia Jax vs Natalya. Although no match has been made official yet, it could very well be on the show.

I can add that the idea months ago was for a women’s match to happen at this show. Prior to her injury, the plan was Nia Jax vs Natalya. We’ll see if any matchup happens on Friday.

It is very interesting that WWE is bringing along women wrestlers to the Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia. If they are allowed to compete then it will certainly be a historic day for WWE and Saudi Arabia, but it probably won’t do much to really combat the negativity surrounding the WWE’s deal with Saudi Arabia.
