WWE has an issue with bringing fans to the building, especially on a Monday. The new Wild Card rule has also made it very hard to make Monday house shows work because top blue brand stars are needed for Raw.

WWE axed this week’s WWE house show and it looks like next week’s is off as well. This has become a trend ever since the invention of the Wild Card Rule.

The American Airlines Arena in Corpus Christi, Texas sent out a mass email late on Tuesday night informing fans that their upcoming event was canceled without a new date being scheduled at this time.

“The WWE: SmackDown live event scheduled for Monday June 3rd at American Bank Center Arena in Corpus Christi, TX has been cancelled due to a scheduling conflict. All fans who purchased tickets for the Corpus Christi, TX live event should go to their point of purchase for refunds.”

WWE might be cancelling all future WWE live events until their new Fox deal kicks in. We will have to wait and see what happens, but it wouldn’t be a big surprise to see these shows become a thing of the past until they can start scheduling them for Thursday after SmackDown’s Fox move.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
