WWE introduced a new title to the mix that is a bit of a throwback to the old WWE Hardcore Title. The biggest difference is that it’s called the 24/7 Title and it looks like something WWE paid an amateur belt maker $250 and a gift card to Golden Corral to create.

The new title will be defended where ever and when ever they want to. This means that fans could find their social media timelines full of viral title defense very soon. It could also mean that fans should expect even more outlandish segments resulting in title changes.

Mike Johnson said on PW Insider Elite audio that fans should expect to see plenty of comedy to come as the 24/7 title continues.

“They put in the referee has to be there so we’re going to get comedy spots where the referee just happens to show up like they did last night with R-Truth and Bobby Roode where the referee was sitting in the car. How bad does that make Bobby Roode look when R-Truth of all people is able to out smart him?”

The 24/7 Title will certainly be an interesting addition to WWE programming. Some fans were on board with this title and hope that it will bring even more entertainment value to WWE. Others were not so hot on the company’s direction.

It looks like we will just have to wait and see what happens next as Vince McMahon attempts to make RAW even more raw.
