It appears Vince McMahon is introducing new title as a way to possibly get people to start tuning into their television shows. The biggest question is what The Chairman has planned.
They announced during Money In The Bank that Mick Foley will appear on Raw tonight to introduce a new title. As we previously reported those backstage in WWE don’t even know what this title will be.
Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio that although he’s not sure what WWE is planning with their new title, the idea of a Hardcore Title is something that WWE has been considering. They are also kicking around the idea of introducing a much different and mysterious title.
“I also heard the idea of a Legend’s Championship. I don’t know what that means. I guess that needs to be explained.”
Only time will tell what WWE has planned. If a Hardcore Title is re-introduced it could really utilize social media in a big way that wasn’t previously available during its first run where the title could be defended 24/7.
A “Legend’s Title” might need a lot more explaining because one would think that it could only be available for those with a certain amount of experience under their belts.
Needless to say, if you’re confused then odds are you’re not the only one.
