Kofi Kingston is the WWE Champion, but he didn’t get there on his own. There was a ton of support from fans and The New Day, but in the end it happened due to his hard work and dedication.

The Ghana native was very moved to see how people in his home country reacted to his WrestleMania title win. It was certainly KofiMania in Ghana. Now he is returning home which will be his first visit since 1993.

Well it’s officially official. For the first time since 1993, I’m going back to my home country! Though it was 26 years ago, I still have so many vivid memories of my last visit to Ghana. I’m beyond excited to make many more in a few short weeks!

Kofi Kingston also included a long release concerning his trip back to Ghana. We can only imagine how many people will turn out to see the WWE Champion during his visit.

As exciting as this might be Kingston will need to retain his WWE Championship against Kevin Owens at Money In The Bank on May 19th if he wants to return home as champion. Because his journey back to Ghana is slated from May 30th to June 2nd.
