Tommaso Ciampa was NXT Champion when he was taken out of action due to a neck injury. It was awful timing because he was just called up to the main roster at the time as well.

Ciampa had surgery and it was heartbreaking thing to hear him talk about. However, it seems like he has good news to report today.

The Sicilian Psychopath updated fans to let us know that he just saw his doctor and the news is not good… it’s great. Hopefully, this is a sign that he’ll be back sooner than we initially expected.

Got the results to my 2 month follow up x-ray.

Ciampa was injured with surgery scheduled before his main roster call-up. He was NXT Champion at the time and set to defend his title at NXT TakeOver: New York. He was also pulled from NXT house shows to allow him time to recover a little bit too.

However, that match at TakeOver didn’t happen because he was called up to the main roster and pulled from action weeks later after his injury was accelerated.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
