WWE’s television ratings have not been doing all that well recently. In fact, they’re breaking record lows. This is not a good sign as the company enters two huge television deals in October.

Sometimes the IWC will just be going about their week and then on a Thursday or Friday WWE will announce something big for RAW or an unexpected change. There could be a reason for that.

Dave Meltzer said on Wrestling Observer Radio that Vince McMahon might know what the ratings are when they are released, but it takes some time for him to really look at them.

“Thursday is the day when [Vince McMahon] usually the day — he know the ratings on Tuesday, but Thursday, that’s the day that he kinda like studies it and I didn’t hear about it after Wednesday I don’t think.”

Vince McMahon has some very important decisions to make to help improve ratings. He is also lucky to have a lot of options and a virtually bottomless wallet. So McMahon could do a lot if he chooses to.

The fact is that no matter who Vince McMahon brings in or what kind of inventive storyline they try to take part in, McMahon is still the final decision maker. Hopefully, The Chairman will be able to figure something out or at least allow others to make a suggestion in the process that he doesn’t change on the day of the show.
