Backstage Concern Vince McMahon Will Wreck NXT Storylines Again With Imminent Call Ups

NXT has some of the best stories in WWE, but Vince McMahon can always change things any time he wishes by calling up Superstars to the main roster. We have seen this happen multiple times already this year so it’s becoming somewhat of a trend.

Vince McMahon called up Tommaso Ciampa, Johnny Gargano, and The Viking Raiders when they were all champions making it a trifecta of storyline changes for NXT.

Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that with the SmackDown Tag Team Titles now vacated and not many options of who to place the titles on that McMahon might make some more big changes.

“Shane’s going to be all over SmackDown with this tag team tournament thing — I don’t even know if they’re going to do a tournament because they’re gonna announce… because on SmackDown they’ve got two teams. One’s Heavy Machinery who haven’t even been on SmackDown and the other is Rusev and Nakamura. Then the other teams are the B-Team and the Colons, right? So unless they switch someone over which they may do or bring someone up […] because I know there are people who are afraid that Triple H’s storylines are going to get messed up again because Vince McMahon is going to want to bring people up again.”

Vince McMahon can do whatever he wants because in the end, he owns everything in WWE and can move people around as he sees fit. It obviously doesn’t matter that NXT already has a tag team title match set for the next TakeOver event which is happening because McMahon just called up Erik and Ivar as NXT Tag Team Champions.
