The Viking Experience debuted on the RAW roster as part of the WWE Superstar Shake-Up last week and people lost their minds. Now it appears as though WWE is taking it back.

They were once War Machine on the indies and NJPW then Raymond Rowe and Hanson became War Raiders in NXT. This name change was slight and didn’t seem to bother fans as much. Then everyone lost their minds when The Viking Experience debuted on RAW and their names were changed to Erik and Ivar.

PW Insider reports that it appears WWE is going to re-christen The Viking Experience this week on RAW. Now they will apparently be called “The Viking Raiders.” It isn’t much of a change, but at least they dropped the “experience” name.

As of this afternoon, The Viking Experience tag team has been re-christened “The Viking Raiders.”

Let’s just see how this name change goes for them. Hopefully, fans will be more receptive to this now that it doesn’t sound like a Jimmy Hendrix Viking tribute band is about to take the ring.
