WWE’s Reported Original WrestleMania Opponent For Daniel Bryan

Daniel Bryan is WWE Champion headed into WrestleMania. He is set to face Kofi Kingston in a match that a lot of people are looking forward to, especially Kofi. However, that was not the original plan.

Wrestling News reports that Mustafa Ali was supposed to challenge Daniel Bryan for the title at Fastlane, obviously that didn’t happen the way WWE planned. Ali was still in the match, but it was a triple threat with Kevin Owens as well.

Then Kevin Owens would have received a WWE Title shot at WrestleMania. Due to Kofi Kingston’s sudden push and Ali’s injury before the Elimination Chamber plans were changed and everything seemed to get combined into one match at WWE Fastlane.

This is just another example of how plans can change because the WWE Universe makes their voices heard. Timing and the unpredictability of injuries also plays into it as well.
