WWE could look very different in just a handful of months. Because new television contracts are set to kick in meaning Raw will stay on USA Network, but SmackDown Live will be moving to Fox.

Rey Mysterio was at the NASCAR race today driving the pace car. During the broadcast on Fox, WWE’s move to Fridays on Fox Network in October was brought up. During that talk-up, Brock Lesnar was mentioned as appearing on the blue brand’s show starting in October 2019.

This is a very interesting development for a couple of reasons. Brock Lesnar wasn’t even featured in SummerSlam promotional meterial leading some to believe WWE might not be 100% sure that he will be around that long. After all, he always has the possibility of taking off to do UFC again.

This also means that Lesnar will likely not be champion when October rolls around as well so he can make the jump from red to blue brands.

There is also the possibility that WWE is just feeding Brock Lesnar’s name to Fox in an effort to gain interest as Ethan Cramer suggested. We’ll find out in October. That might seem like a long time away, but it will be here before we know it.
