X-Pac thinks MLW made a great business decision by bringing on Jim Cornette as a commentator. He says that MLW’s shows are immediately improved by Cornette’s voice, because there aren’t many people on the planet with Cornette’s passion and experience.
Much like Mauro Ranallo, Cornette has the ability to bring things to the table from the deep depths of his mind. He has a photographic memory and a vast knowledge of the business to draw from while commentating.
It was announced recently that Dana Warrior has been hired as a creative correspondent in WWE. X-Pac notes that this is most certainly a reward for Dana Warrior, who has been doing great work for WWE over the last several years. This correspondent role does not mean she’s a full time member of creative; she’s a member of the WWE family and this position just solidifies that.
Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey made headlines with their social media feud recently. X-Pac points out that using social media is a new way of getting heat. He’s sure they’re just working, but that’s not to say there aren’t some real feelings there.
Most of the best feuds in wrestling history have a hint of realism to them. He says they’re “…probably really pissed and are going at each other”, but then they have the ability to pull it back because everyone has the same goal here. He points out that a chop or slap might be a little bit stiffer than normal.
