Asuka is okay now, but she did have a scary incident at a WWE live event on Monday night. Mandy Rose went for a sit-down facebuster, but Asuka tucked her neck and was hurt. The match was called off, but it is important to remember that this was not Mandy’s fault.
While speaking to Sport Talk, Mandy Rose explained how that scary incident went down and what she was thinking at the time.
“I was in my hometown, it was really great to be home,” Rose said. “I had about 30 people – friends and family – there that were all front row. I had all my nieces and nephews and it was really amazing to have them all there. Of course, not everything always goes according to plan and accidents happen.”
“So, unfortunately, there was a little accident and we took the proper precautions and thankfully, Asuka is fine and she’s doing OK. You know, stuff happens. You can’t dwell on it, you just gotta move on.”
It can’t be easy dealing with the thought that you injured one of your co-workers. WWE Superstars trust each other with their bodies in the ring all of the time, therefore, any slip-up can lead to disaster. Thankfully, Mandy Rose is able to know that accidents happen. Now we will just have to see how WWE Fastlane turns out where she is scheduled to face Asuka once again for the SmackDown Women’s Title.
