Nia Jax inserted herself into the 2019 men’s Royal Rumble match. She had to take out R-Truth to get the job done, but it was worth it for Jax. After eliminating Mustafa Ali, Jax became the first person to ever eliminate people from both the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble match.
Jerry “The King” Lawler said on his podcast that Jax hurt R-Truth and there was some heat between them.
Brad Shepard brought up this story on Oh, You Didn’t Know where he revealed that while Jax did bang-up R-Truth a little bit everything seems to be cool between them now.
“There was a report that came out that R-Truth had heat with Nia Jax over the Rumble where he was hurt. Then Nia Jax was trolling I guess wrestling journalists so she posted an Instagram picture with R-Truth and so I was told Nia Jax did accidentally hurt R-Truth — nothing serious and there is no heat between them.”
R-Truth won the WWE United States Title the next time he appeared on television. This might have been a really great coincidence or it could have been WWE rewarding Truth for being so cool about Nia Jax roughing him up on the Royal Rumble set. Only time will tell until we get some kind of shoot interview from Ron Killings.
