WWE has a lot of big plans for the future. They have two huge television deals slated to begin in October, 2019 and while Fox hasn’t promised anything long term for WWE, it appears they are considering more WWE content for their empire of networks.

During WWE’s fourth quarter and 2018 earnings report, the company made some big promises about what they expect for their future. They are going to continue strengthening their fan engagement which they say “over the next few years can enhance WWE’s brand value and strengthen the Company’s ability to optimize the value of its content over the long-term.”

They are also making a promise to use their money to build a stronger talent base. The plan for more “localized” events is also a priority. Whether this means more NXT UK specials or the idea of airing house shows on the WWE Network is unclear, but this is a goal of WWE.

Their plans to step-up their capital expenditures in order to build content was previously delayed as WWE’s “workplace strategy continued to evolve.” However, this is in the plan for the company as expenditures are now estimated at $70-$90 million for this year.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
