WWE has a lot of people on the indie wrestling scene that they might like to have back. Matt Sydal performed as Evan Bourne during his time in WWE and it looks like that they want him to give the company another chance. WWE isn’t the only company interested in bringing him in either.

Matt Sydal was supposed to get surgery on his knee, but he couldn’t get it done for insurance reasons. Even though he is currently injured, Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Matt Sydal still has plenty of interest in his services.

“Matt Sydal’s contract with Impact Wrestling ended on January 1st, he should be ready in a couple of months. He had knee surgery last week, minor knee surgery [he didn’t have it as stated above].”

“We’ll see what happens with him. I know he’s had offers from AEW. I know he’s had offers from WWE. I haven’t been told specifically that Impact wants him back, but I would think Impact would want him back because he’s good.”

“That’s his situation, he’s a free agent, yeah.”

Matt Sydal could become a vital part of WWE’s 205 Live brand or NXT if they brought him back. He might go back to being Evan Bourne too. However, it’s unknown if he would want to go back there because of the way he wasn’t pushed at all before. All Elite Wrestling could be a great fit for Sydal, however, Impact Wrestling might not want to lose another talented performer and offer him enough to convince him to stay.
