The XFL is coming back in 2020 and there are plans to get the ball rolling in a big way very soon. The league is working to hire quarterbacks and coaches as they prep their host cities for the new version of the recently revived Vince McMahon venture. Now they need a television deal, but two big deals are said to be on the way.

The Sports Business Journal reports that the XFL is in talks with both ESPN and Fox. This could be a big deal if the rebooted football league lands those deals.

Two-thirds of its games are slated to appear on broadcast television so they can get the league in front of the most people possible. The talks do not involve ESPN’s new streaming service, but it is said that the XFL is talking to both entities to air their games on ABC and Fox, as well as ESPN and FS1.

The Wrestling Observer noted that there is lot of interest in the XFL because networks love live sports programming. Football is also viewed as very favorable to advertisers so it ups the value of an XFL television deal even more.
