WWE is the biggest pro wrestling company on the planet and that’s not likely to change. No other company has the reach WWE does and that used to be enough to keep people happy. Now it seems like there is a different story to tell.

All Elite Wrestling is offering big-money deals and they could be going hard after WWE Superstars. Sasha Banks is name that has been brought up recently as well and The Revival already asked for their WWE releases, but they were turned down. Dave Meltzer continued this train of thought on Wrestling Observer Radio where he provided some insight on WWE’s thinking.

“It’s weird because WWE is pushing a lot of guys, a few guys, Andrade and [The Revival] to a degree because they don’t want to lose them. They don’t want people unhappy, they don’t want people to leave. They don’t want the word out that lots of people want to leave. Especially they don’t want the word out that people want to go to AEW.”

It might be hard to hide that people want out of the company if news keeps breaking that another Superstar asked for their release every week. However, WWE will continue on and hopefully, they won’t lose too many Superstars in the process. However, with NXT and NXT UK full of talented people the company will certainly be okay.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
