Almost three years ago to the day, WWE announced the signings of AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson. They all came in from New Japan in a massive raid of the company.

We don’t know where Kenny Omega is going, but he is leaving New Japan. Now it seems like one New Japan star could defiantly be on their way to WWE.

Kushida was defeated at Wrestle Kingdom 13. It seemed as it that event told a story of everyone on their way out losing or submitting to some kind of career change.

Chris Charlton reports that Kushida said he is leaving NJPW as well.

“I will leave NJPW on January 31. This was an extremely tough condition made with Meij, Sugabayashi and Kidani. It was a very big decision in my life and I’m thankful they understood. I will head overseas and to see the world of pro wrestling.”

This comment of going overseas is very interesting. There are a couple of places Kushida could be wrestling overseas from Japan. However, WWE has had their eye on him for quite some time.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
