“Mean” Gene Okerlund Passes Away At 76-Years-Old

We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of “Mean” Gene Okerlund. At this time when he passed away or the cause of his death is unknown.

Okerlund was a mainstay in the pro wrestling business for decades and held many accomplished positions in WWE. He was a legendary broadcaster and his time on this earth will be remembered forever.

He suffered many health issues in his life and required a kidney transplant in 1995 and another in 2004 which he received from his wife.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Okerlund family during this sad time. We will continue to remember all of the great times as WWE is certain to pay tribute to the legend in the weeks to come.
