Mustafa Ali may be the newest addition to the SmackDown Live roster, but he is so much more than that. During his time on 205 Live, Ali proved himself as a top Superstar and a man any company would be proud to stand behind. His rivalries with Superstars such as Cedric Alexander, Buddy Murphy, and Hideo Itami made Ali into the beloved figure he is today.
During SmackDown Live last week, Ali pinned The New Daniel Bryan in a tag team match to secure the victory for his team- himself and former WWE Champion AJ Styles. WWE cameras have now revealed they followed Ali throughout that day- which also saw Ali reveal he would be saying goodbye to his 205 Live brethren as he moves on to SmackDown Live.
During the special released by WWE, Ali mentions that for Bryan and Styles, in particular, he has watched them his entire career, and to think WWE would let him hang in the squared circle with Superstars like that makes a part of him believe they have faith in him and his abilities.

“I’m teaming with AJ Styles vs. Daniel Bryan and ‘Cien’ Almas, I’m just waiting to wake up. One week you’re facing Daniel Byran and next week you’re teaming with AJ Styles. You’re in the ring with the best in the world. Part of me wants to tell myself they don’t just put anybody in the ring with them. I obviously want to be as good as them and I feel like I can be and I can hang with them. Trying not to make it bigger than it is. This is still a very cool moment for me. I’ve watched those guys, in particular, Bryan and AJ. I’ve watched them my entire life, my entire career. Even on the independent scene, they were stars. Here they are stars and now my name is next to theirs.”

While Ali is now a full-fledged member of the main roster on SmackDown Live, he doesn’t rule out the possibility of returning to 205 Live down the road. He leaves a passing message to the fans and Superstars who supported him in what he has done so far, and where he is going.

“I will always rep 205 Live. I will always support 205 Live. I will always be the heart of 205 Live. I will always be watching because you will never know when the heart of 205 Live will beat again.”

For what it is worth, we did recently report that Ali could perform double duty- competing on both 205 Live and SmackDown Live. This is due to the roster pages listing Ali as a competitor on both shows, though the coming weeks should give an indication on what Ali’s future is with the two brands.
