Becky Lynch suffered an injury at the hands of Nia Jax during the SmackDown invasion of Raw this week. Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch were scheduled to wrestle at Survivor Series in one of the most anticipated matches of the night. But a punch from Nia Jax changed all that.
The Wrestling Observer Newsletter noted that the decision was made the next morning by both Vince McMahon and Ronda Rousey to push her match against The Man to WrestleMania. But Lynch’s actual injury of a broken nose was substituted on television by just saying “fractured face.”
It was said that fractured face sounds way more serious than just a broken nose because it might not be enough to keep Lynch out of action in the big match. However, the more serious issue was the severe concussion.
At this time there is no return scheduled for Becky Lynch, but it looks like WWE’s on-screen reasons for canceling this match was enough to make it work in the storyline to compensate for this unfortunate situation in real life. But at least it looks like we’ll get to see Rousey vs Lynch only it will be in a much more high profile match.
